The Decalogue appears in the book of Exodus and the book of Deuteronomy.
FIRST COMMANDMENT. “I, the Lord, am your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery. You shall not have other gods besides me” (Exodus 20:2-3)
SECOND COMMANDMENT. “You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God in vain” (Exodus 20:7).
THIRD COMMANDMENT. “Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day” (Exodus 20:8).
THE FOURTH COMMANDMENT. “Honor your father and your mother” (Exodus 20:12).
THE FIFTH COMMANDMENT. ”You shall not kill” (Exodus 20:13).
THE SIXTH COMMANDMENT. “You shall not commit adultery” (Deuteronomy 5:18).
THE SEVENTH COMMANDMENT. “You shall not steal” (Deuteronomy 5:19)
THE EIGHTH COMMANDMENT. “You shall not bear dishonest witness against your neighbor” (Deuteronomy 5:20)
THE NINTH COMMANDMENT. “You shall not covet your neighbors wife” (Deuteronomy 5:21)
THE TENTH COMMANDMENT. “You shall not desire your neighbor’s house or field, nor his male or female slave, nor his ox or ass, nor anything else that belongs to him” (Deuteronomy 5:21).
